International Affairs to have office here At the March 5 meeting of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, District 2 Commissioner Robb Pitts sponsored a resolution establishing a new Fulton County Office of International Affairs. The office will be housed within the Department of Economic Development, which currently conducts international outreach through a liaison in Munich, Germany. This office will expand the reach of international affairs to other areas, including Central and Latin America. "Fulton County is an attractive location from a business perspective. With the establishment of this office, we can do more to attract quality development from businesses abroad," said Commissioner Pitts. Pitts has an extensive background in international affairs. He played a key role in presenting Atlanta's Olympic bid to the International Olympic Committee. He has participated in a number of international cultural exchange programs, including the Friendship Force and the Sister Cities program. He has also worked closely with Georgia's Consular Corps.
