Atlanta passengers may now fly Hooters Air Travelers using Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport have another travel option. Hooters Air began flights between Atlanta and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina last week.The trademark orange and white colors adorn the planes. Hooters Air joins 21 commercial carriers currently serving Atlanta. "We are enthusiastic about adding Hooters Air to Hartsfield's already impressive roster of air carriers," commented Aviation General Manager Ben DeCosta. Hooters Air is owned by Robert H. Brooks, chairman of Hooters of America, Inc., which operates the famous Hooters restaurant chain described on its Web site as "delightfully tacky yet unrefined." The flight crew for Hooters Air will feature two pilots and three flight attendants. Additionally, Hooters of America will provide two "Hooters Girls" from the restaurants who will wear the traditional restaurant uniforms and promote Hooters and provide customer service. Hooters Air is scheduled to begin service to Newark, New Jersey on March 20 and add other U.S. destinations by mid-summer, according to company executives. Ticket prices for the Atlanta-Myrtle Beach route are set at a flat rate of $129 one-way and reservations can be made by calling 1-888-FLY-HOOT (1-888-359-4668). For a limited time Hooters Air is offeringintroductory roundtrip fares of $99 between Myrtle Beach and Atlanta, all seats. All flights are public charters operated by Pace Airlines for Hooters Air. Prices listed do not include certain taxes and security fees.
