Workshop to focus on parent-teacher partnerships Fayette's parent mentoring program, for parents of exceptional children, will host a workshop titled "Building Parent Professional Partnerships: Effective Home/School Collaboration" March 20 at the LaFayette Educational Center in room B-210 from 7-9 p.m. The workshop will focus on why partnerships are important, the benefits of partnerships, barriers to parent participation, strategies for working with families effectively, what parents want and what teachers want.
