Fayette Samaritans closer to building of their own

The Fayette Samaritans, in a joint meeting with the Square Foot Ministry and members of the Peachtree City United Methodist Church, came several steps closer at their biweekly meeting to construction of their new facility.

Still on the original schedule, work on the foundation will begin the week of April 21 and construction of the building will begin the next week.

Nearly $51,000 of the needed $90,000 has been reached. Those who can contribute in-kind gifts or materials can call Charlie Charping, 770-461-6009. In-kind donations of materials can lower the $90,000 figure.

The Fayetteville Christian Church donated land for the project with a lease of 100 years for $1.

Monetary gifts can be sent to the Fayette Samaritans, 203 Jeff Davis Place, Suite 102, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Be sure to mark "building fund" on your check. The organization is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization.

The current location is open from Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon, if you wish to donate canned goods.
