Storm damage limited to flooded McBride Rd.

Little storm damage was recorded by the weather system that struck Fayette County late Wednesday night, according to emergency officials.

McBride Road had to be blocked off because it flooded, said Capt. Pete Nelms, emergency management coordinator for the Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

"It was impassable," Nelms said.

The county was under a thunderstorm watch, but it was never upgraded to a tornado watch, Nelms noted.
