Optimists announce oratorical winner The Fayetteville Optimist Club has announced the winner in its annual Oratorical contest. The topic was "United We Stand In Optimism." Winner in the boys contest was Philip Aftuck, Woodward Academy and the winner in the girls contest was Sybil Ijeona Agu, a student at St. John The Evangelist Catholic School. They received a First Place District medallion and will compete on the Zone Level, Regional Level and State Level for a $1,500 scholarship. The local program was directed Tom Roberts, secretary-treasurer of the club and a past governor of the Georgia Optimists. Carolyn Cary What do you think of this story?
