Senoia finds out sewer costs Monday By JOHN
THOMPSON Senoia residents will found out Monday night how expensive phase two of the city's sewer system will be. The City Council is expected to announce the awarding of the contract to provide sewerage service to city residents. Several years ago, the price tag for the entire project was pegged at $6.1 million. The city is building the project with a combination of loans and grants. The state's Rural Development Agency will loan the city several million for the project. With a timeline of one year, the city could be fully hooked up to the system by early next year. During Monday's meeting, the City Council will also: Announce the winners of the Arbor Day poster contest. Recognize the Senoia Tree Committee for a very successful Arbor Day celebration Recognize the participation of Scout Troop 49 in Arbor Day festivities. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
