Blood drive today in Fayetteville

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is sponsoring a blood drive today from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at McDonough Road Baptist Church, 352 McDonough Road in Fayetteville.

All donors receive a recognition item and a cholesterol screening. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 103 pounds and show a valid photo I.D.

LifeSouth supplies blood components for patients at Atlanta Medical Center, Northside Hospital, Emory Northlake Regional Medical Center, Saint Joseph's Hospital, Emory University Hospital, Crawford Long Hospital, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Piedmont Medical Center, Emory Dunwoody Medical Center and other metro Atlanta medical facilities.

LifeSouth's Greater Atlanta Region is part of the 12-region LifeSouth family, a nonprofit, charitable organization that serves more than 90 medical facilities in Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
