The Metro South chapter of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association is giving away 1,000 five to six ft. trees on Arbor Day, which is Friday, Feb. 21.

The distribution point will be at Walker Nursery on Walt Stephens Road in Jonesboro, starting at 8 a.m.

The resolutions were presented to Hugh Morton and Chris Knight of the Metro South chapter, which serves builders in Clayton, Henry and South Fulton counties. The chapter has 200 builder members and is part of the 4,100-member Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.

The organization's theme for 2002-03 is "Building Champion Communities -- Together." The association Web site address is www.atlantahomebuilders.com.
