It might sound unusual to say the Fayette County Sheriff's Department busted a guy for taking out his dirty laundry in Peachtree City Tuesday morning.

No, they weren't enforcing an obscure city regulation. Under the clothes in his laundry basket, Steven Moses Turner was hiding an 11-pound "brick" of marijuana, according to police.

Turner, 24, was taken to the cleaners in a different way arrested on the spot for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, outside his home at the Amli Apartments.

The marijuana was wrapped tightly in plastic cellophane, and officials believe he was about to make "a delivery." The marijuana had a street value of approximately $9,000, said Sgt. Belinda McCastle.

Agents of the department's Drug Task Force planned to execute a warrant on Turner's residence at 1335 Hyacinth Lane in the AMLI Apartments complex Tuesday morning, McCastle added. But to their surprise, Turner walked outside in plain view instead, McCastle added.
