Tennant awarded for training class Peachtree City Councilman Dan Tennant was recently recognized by the Georgia Municipal Association for completing a 72-hour training program. Tennant was awarded the prestigious Certificate of Achievement from the Georgia Municipal Training Institute at the GMA's annual Mayor's Day conference in Atlanta. The institute provides a nationally recognized series of training opportunities for elected city officials. "This is an outstanding achievement," said GMA Executive Director Jim Higdon. "We commend councilmember Tennant for this accomplishment and for the dedication he has shown in using this valuable resource to become a more effective city official." GMA is a voluntary nonprofit organization that provides legislative advocacy, research, training, employee benefit and technical consulting services to its 493 member cities.
