Villages at LaFayette Park Honored at Annual ARC Event

The Villages at LaFayette Park, Fayetteville Village LLC's multi-use community in Fayetteville, received the Exceptional Merit Award for Development Design in the Expansion of Town Center at the Atlanta Regional Commission's annual State of the Region Breakfast, held recently at the Atlanta Regional Commission's ballroom.

Keynote speaker for the event was former Georgia Gov. Roy E. Barnes.

The Developments of Excellence awards were presented by C. Crandle Bray, ARC chairman, and Barbara Noon, who chairs the Regional Business Coalition. Accepting the award in behalf of Fayetteville Village LLC was Al Nash.

The Villages at LaFayette Park is an approximately 110-acre development three blocks west of the Old Courthouse Square in Fayetteville and bordered by Ga. Highway 54 on the south and the Fayette County High School complex on the north.

The development is planned to have 151 single-family detached homes featuring Turn of the Century styles with prices starting in the $200,000s. The builders are all established and well known local companies, including Mike Harrell & Associates, Ravin Homes, and Ray Wright Homes. In addition to these Classic American Village and Cottage homes, there will also be 22 estate homes on larger homesites.

Work has also begun on 30 townhouses which will be constructed by Chris Dixon & Associates, another well-known member of the local building community.

Mike Harrell & Associates and Chris Dixon & Associates are being represented in the development by Jan Trammell Realty, whose agents, Jackie Ard and Debi Stansell, can be contacted at 770-461-3293. Ravin Homes' in-house marketing agents are DeSales deGolian and her assistant, Carla Messic, whose number is 770-461-0219. Ray Wright Homes has chosen Re/Max Around Atlanta to handle sales, with Marcia Bolton and Sheila Jordan as the on-site agents. Their number is 770-461-7030.

In addition to the residential units, the community will also contain several parks, a junior olympic pool, playground, and commercial and office space. Also on the property is The Villages Amphitheater, which had its opening in late September. The amphitheater, a multiuse venue representing all aspects of the cultural arts and educational community, is located on a three-acre tract at the intersection of LaFayette Avenue and Tiger Trail and will share the parking lot at Fayette County High School.
