Wednesday, February 12, 2003 SummerGrove home sales exceed 1,000 in 2002 The year 2002 was a good one for Newnan's SummerGrove. The community was the site of the featured show home of the International Builders Show, opened a water park featuring Atlanta area's first lazy river ride, and had 264 home sales, giving the community more than 1,000 home sales since its inception in 1998. Peggy Sullivan, vice president of marketing at Pathway Communities, believes the reason behind SummerGrove's success is, "a result of the community's outstanding amenity package, variety of home styles and price ranges, its elite builder team, and its desirable historic Newnan location." Sullivan points out that SummerGrove's top-selling features include over five miles of walking trails and pedestrian paths, a 100-acre lake, a tennis complex, a competition-size swimming pool, and an 18-hole public golf course. The new SummerGrove water park features a lazy river ride, water sprays, and a large water mushroom. In addition, the community offers a unique technology program, including structured wiring for every home, the potential for ultra-fast Internet access, and Atlanta's first interactive community Intranet. SummerGrove's uniqueness spans more than amenities and technology. There are 13 decorated models. "Since homes at SummerGrove are priced from the $130's to over $700,000, it is necessary to give home buyers tangible evidence of the range of choice in each neighborhood, not just a copy of an elevation and a floor plan," said Sullivan. "At SummerGrove, we've made a conscious decision to make home shopping a pleasurable experience." SummerGrove is located at the intersection of Lower Fayetteville Road and Shenandoah Blvd. in Newnan. The Information Center is open daily 11 a.m.-6 p.m and Sunday 1 p.m.-6 p.m. For more information, call 770-252-9000, or visit www.summergrove.com.
