Work underway at Patriots Point

Construction work is underway on the amenities area at Patriots Point in Locust Grove, the 200-homesite community being developed by John Christian Homes.

When completed, amenities will include a junior olympic swimming pool, tennis facilities, and a playground. The community will also have five acres of green space.

John Christian, the developer of the community, has also announced that the community's homeowners association, in which membership is open to all homeowners for a $240 quarterly fee, includes lawn maintenance for all residences.

The 60-acre Patriots Point development will have both single-family and ranch condominium homes, and six of the single-family homes are already occupied. Current inventory in the first phase of single family homes stands at 15 ready for occupancy, including three and four-bedroom ranch and two-story designs, some with bonus rooms. At least half of these homes will have masonry accents on the front, and half will have front porches. Four trees will be planted in every yard, which will be sodded, and all residences will have car garages.

Work on the ranch condominiums, which will offer a selection of two and three-bedroom plans, is expected to get underway by spring.

There is a decorated model home in the single-family section, where homes are priced from $126,900 to $137,900.

Located on Frances Ward Drive, Patriots Point, which has streetlights and sidewalks, is a short distance from the Locust Grove exit on I-75 and can be reached by taking Bill Gardner Parkway into Locust Grove, going past the Tanger Outlet Center, and turning right on Frances Ward Drive.

Building the homes in Patriots Point are John Christian Homes and Walden Custom Homes.

Mary Collum of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty's Henry County office is marketing the homes in Patriots Point. She can be contacted by calling 678-583-3033 or paging her at 770-388-4369. The model home is open daily from 1-6 p.m.
