Wedding Announcements

Cook-Stevens

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cook of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Shantyl Edwina Cook, to Jason Bryan Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Stevens, also of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cook of Fairburn and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hamilton of Fayetteville. A graduate of Riverdale High School, she attended Clayton State College and DeKalb Perimeter College and is employed as an administrative assistant/medical assistant for an orthopedic surgeon.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Hyde Jr. of Newnan, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stevens, also of Newnan. A graduate of Fayette County High School, he attended San Jose State University and Georgia State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He received national certification and is employed as a certified athletic trainer.
The wedding will be in March at the Peachtree City United Methodist Church.

Carlton-Poppe

Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Scarlett) Carlton of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Summer Diana Carlton, to David William Poppe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Pam) Poppe of Snellville.
The bride-to-be attended Mercer University in Macon and is a graduate of The State University of West Georgia, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in education. She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She is employed as a teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption School.
The future groom is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a bachelor of textile engineering degree. He is a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He is employed as a process engineer at Leggett and Platt.
The wedding will be in April at the Senoia United Methodist church.

Julie Cary Bothwell marries


Julie Cary Bothwell announces her marriage to Richard M. Riedel. The couple was wed in a century-old chapel in Denver, Colo. on Jan. 18, 2003. The bride and groom are employed by Delta Air Lines, Denver. Julie is a 1986 graduate of Fayette County High School. On hand for the occasion were David Cary, Carolyn Cary, Julie Cary Bothwell, Zach Bothwell, age 9, Richard M. Riedel, Tracey Riedel Socha, and Taylor Socha, age 5.
