Government heads to Athens By JOHN
THOMPSON Coweta county's government leaders took an eastern detour this week for a retreat in Athens. The bulk of the retreat gets underway today as Coweta County Commission chairman Leigh Schlumper welcomes the group. The retreat is the brainchild of Schlumper's and features representatives from most of Coweta's governments. Today, the group will discuss several issues, including; Growth and development. Transportation. Water/wastewater. Stormwater management. The Coweta County Commission, along with officials of the Coweta County Board of Education,the city of Senoia, the city of Newnan and Newnan Utilities are confirmed attendees for this week's retreat.
