Norma Mae Wortham


Norma Mae Wortham Bugg, 89, Newnan, died Jan. 14, 2003. She was born Nov. 23, 1913 in Newnan.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Gary Parrish officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah and Don Combes, Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Charles Gregory Combes and Carol Lynn Combes and Andrew Keith Hammons; and a great-grandchild, Ryan Knight Hammons.
Memorial donations should be made to the First United Methodist Church, 33 Greenville St., Newnan, GA 30263.
McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.

Grace Lovett O’Kelley


Grace Lovett O'Kelley, 90, Athens, formerly of Talladega, Ala., died Jan. 21, 2003. She was born April 16, 1912 in Luthersville.
Graveside services were at the Luthersville City Cemetery with the Rev. Winston Skinner officiating.
Survivors include a sister, Vivian Bryant, Athens, Ga.
McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.

Sara Byers


Sara Ward Byers, 75, Whitesburg, died Jan. 21, 2003. She was born Jan. 3, 1928 in Georgia.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Randy Knight officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.
Survivors include a son, Chuck Byers, Carrollton; daughters, Cyndie Hammock, Deborah Garrett and Charlotte Richards, all of Whitesburg, and Karen Harris, Carrollton; and a sister, Clestelle Richards, Newnan; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.

Roy Crabtree


Roy Leon Crabtree, 64, Senoia, died Jan. 26, 2003. He was born Sept. 17, 1938 in Trion, Ga.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ann Rosenbaum Crabtree, Senoia; children, Tony Lee Crabtree, Pine Mountain, Ga., Timothy Lamar and Lisa Crabtree, Griffin, Robin and Mike Avery, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Michelle and Kevin Wimpey, Newnan; 10 grandchildren; mother, Amy Crabtree, Brooks; brother, David Crabtree, Atlanta, and a sister, Sherry and Jim Osburn, Brooks.
Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.

Ephraim “Trapper” Ingram


Ephraim McDuffie “Trapper” Ingram, 38, Newnan, died Jan. 24, 2003. He was born Jan. 13, 1965 in Fulton County.
He was reared in Woolsey and was a member of the Woolsey Baptist Church. He was a 1983 graduate of Fayette County High School. He worked for A/B Electric Company was a member of the IBEW Local #613.
Services were at the Woolsey Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Riordan and the Rev. Chuck Chambers officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Ingram, Newnan; parents, Bob and Brenda Kay Durkee, Newnan; grandmother, Katherine McDaniel, Mableton; a brothers, Christopher Durkee, and Scott and Katie Durkee, all of Phoenix, Ariz., and George Ingram, Houston, Texas; and a sister, Shirley Ingram, Newnan.
Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral home, Fayetteville, was in charge.

Wade Davis


Wade Lee Davis, 90, Newnan, died Jan. 27, 2003. He was born May 14, 1912 in Heard County. He was a self-employed grocer.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Buddy Smith officiating. Interment was at the Franklin, Georgia, City Cemetery. Survivors include sons, Wayne Davis and J W. Davis, both of Newnan; a daughter, Virginia Davis, Newnan; brothers, Hubert Davis and Robert Davis, both of Newnan; and four grandchildren.
McKoon Funeral Home, Newnan, was in charge.
