Wedding Announcements

Haylock-Axson

Rebecca Haylock and Brian Axson were married Oct. 2, 2002 in Randolph County, Ala.
The bride is the daughter of Judith Scott of Pearl River, La. and Robert and Deborah Haylock of Wedowee, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Louise Truex of Pearl River, La. and Nellie Haylock of Clearwater, Fla..
The groom is the son of Karen Saxon of Peachtree City. He is the grandson of Eunice and Fred Saxon of Savannah.
The Axsons currently reside in Peachtree City.

Hembree-Gray

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hembree of Tyrone announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lynn, to Stephen Anthony Gray, son of Mike Gray of Whitesburg and Mrs. Nancy Gray of Clarkston.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Hembree and the late Dave Hembree of Palmetto, and the late Mrs. Veneeda Matthews and Dewey Matthews of Tyrone. She is a 1996 graduate of Sandy Creek High School, a 1999 graduate of Mercer University, and a 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a master of social work degree. She currently is employed with Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
The groom-elect is the grandson of W.B. Spivey and the late Doris Spivey of Clarkston, and the late Mr. and Mrs. E.P. Gray of Buchanan. He is a 1994 graduate of Alexander High School and a 1999 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree. He currently is employed with THK America.
The wedding is planned for May 3, 2003, at the First Baptist Church of Tyrone. A reception will be held at the Hollingsworth House in Fayetteville.

Hutson-Uttley

Mr. and Mrs. Bradley M. Hutson of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Melissa Hutson, to James Joseph Uttley, son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Uttley, also of Peachtree City.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Margaret E. Hutson and the late Hugh M. Hutson of Peachtree City. A 1999 McIntosh High School graduate, she presently attends Auburn University on a Naval Engineering scholarship and is majoring in civil engineering. A May graduation is planned.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Josephine A. Uttley and the late B.L. Uttley of Grove, Okla., and Ira D. Norman and the late Mary E. Norman of Edmond, Okla. He is a 1998 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2002 magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University, where he majored in industrial design and was a member of FarmHouse Fraternity. He currently is employed by Newell Rubbermaid and resides in Memphis, Tenn.
The couple is planning a Thanksgiving wedding.
