Putt-putt, laser tag and go-carts featured in plan for entertainment center By JOHN MUNFORD A group of people with Peachtree City ties wants to build a family entertainment center in a newly-developing area of the city's industrial park. The Depot will feature miniature golf, go-cart tracks, an arcade and a laser tag arena, according to organizers. The Peachtree City Planning Commission met with company representatives at its previous meeting in a special workshop, and the concept plan for the site is on the commission's Monday night agenda. The venue would be located in the recently approved Lake Park industrial subdivision which is off Ga. Highway 74 and TDK Boulevard. Although one commissioner was concerned about safety because of the depot's proximity to the CSX railroad tracks, company officials said a fence would separate the property from the railroad. The company also plans to have a supervisor at each of its venues to keep an eye out for safety concerns. Representatives also said they wanted to make The Depot look nice and be something Peachtree City could be proud of. Another of the commission's hangups is that when it approved the Lake Park industrial subdivision, it required that a set of covenants and restrictions for the area be developed, and that hasn't taken place yet.
