Traffic light coming to Hwy. 74 south and Dividend Dr.The Peachtree City City Council has unanimously approved spending $21,000 so a traffic signal can be built at the intersection of Ga. Highway 74 and Dividend Drive. Officials from Panasonic had requested the light to help employee traffic, which can back up due to the increased volume of vehicles on Hwy. 74. The state of Georgia is paying for the traffic signal itself but the city will be responsible for the extra lanes necessary and restriping the intersection, said City Engineer Troy Besseche. "We feel like it's a very good situation for the city," Besseche said. "... There had been a lot of momentum building at the state level for this project." John Munford
