North Clayton students get job-shadowing opportunities

Students at North Clayton High School enjoyed a unique job-shadowing experience at the Fairburn Banking Company on Washington Street in Fairburn.

Roger Durham, bank manager, made sure that the students were acclimated and exposed to all the various banking services: checking accounts, safety deposit boxes, duties of the teller, loan officers, saving accounts, mortgages, and various certificates of deposits.

Antonio Clark, a student of North Clayton, stated that he gained a great deal of knowledge from the job-shadowing experience. North Clayton High School students have also enjoyed the job-shadowing experience at Buffalo's Restaurant at Shannon Mall on December 5 and at the Longhorn Steakhouse on December 11.

The principal at North Clayton High School is Willie J. Scott and the vocational principal is Mr. John C. Everett. All job-shadowing experiences are scheduled by Judy Nickel, Work-Based Learning Coordinator at North Clayton High School.
