The lighter side Ahh, January.... By
F.C. FOODIE
A time for gyms to be crowded and resolutions to be made about living a healthier lifestyle in the new year. But in our time-compressed society, many people don't have time to cook healthy and are looking for alternatives in the restaurant area. Here are some of Foodie's picks for eating healthier, while still dining out in the county: Any of the wraps at Chick-fil-A. The wraps provide healthy fillings, such as grilled chicken, yet are still a tasty choice for a quick lunch. The bison burger at Ted's Montana Grill. Bison is far lower in fat than regular ground beef, and offers a healthy alternative to the "burger on the run." Any Atkins Diet fanatics can just eat the bison and skip the bun. Scrumptious salads at Malone's. This small chain offers some excellent greens with healthy toppings such as blackened chicken to tempt your taste buds. A delicious fish dinner at Famous Fish Company. You'll have to stay away from the fish and chips, but other preparations of seafood in this Peachtree City restaurant will keep you healthy and trim. The market sandwiches at Arby's. For fast food, these sandwiches are some of the healthiest around with lean meats and fresh veggies. Chinese vegetables at some of our Chinese restaurants such as Chin Chin. Stay away from the fried rice, and you'll be fine. These choices should help you get a jumpstart on spring, and have you in shape for the summer.
