Gaddy students scoring well

As the first calendar year for The Gaddy School, a state-approved real estate and appraisal school in Peachtree City, comes to an end, the real estate graduates have obtained an astonishing 90 percent-plus passing ratio on the Georgia Real Estate Licensing Examination.

When questioned about the school's success, Wade Gaddy, the director and principal instructor, said it was attributable to three factors: the quality of the students, reflected in their willingness to faithfully attend class and study hard; the materials utilized, including the text authored by Gaddy, tests and examinations, computerized PowerPoint presentations, and computer-based sample examinations available to the students; and The Gaddy School's commitment to doing whatever is necessary to help the students grasp the material presented.

"My philosophy throughout my 30-plus years of teaching has always been to teach real estate law and theory in such a way that it is enjoyable and makes sense to the student," said Gaddy. "If they enjoy their time in class, learning becomes contagious and if the student understands the basic concepts because they make sense, it makes no difference who writes the question, they should be able to think their way through it and come up with the correct answer."

Based on their examination results, this philosophy has apparently served the students of The Gaddy School very well.

The school's 2003 schedule has begun with a pre-classification appraisal class as well as a pre-licensing salesperson class. Gaddy is also producing an audio/video series of his lectures to be utilized by students for make-up or personal study purposes.
