Wednesday, January 8, 2003 Walker earns GRI Stephen Walker with Prudential Georgia Realty has recently been awarded the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation by the Georgia Association of Realtors. Walker was awarded the designation after attending an intensive series of 90+ hours of classroom instruction, covering subjects such as contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction. Courses are taught by leading real estate instructors from around the country. Individuals completing the program learn the fundamentals or brokerage and other real estate specialization, allowing them to better serve prospective clients and customers. An experienced real estate professional, Walker is based out of Prudential Georgia Realty's new state-of-the-art Peachtree City location at 246 City Circle in The Avenue shopping plaza. He is a member of the Fayette County Board of Realtors as well as the Georgia and National Associations of Realtors. His 2001 sales earned him a coveted spot in Prudential Real Estate Affiliate's (PREA) Leading Edge Society, an honor achieved by only the top 6 percent of the more than 44,000 Prudential real estate agents in North America. The Institute is designed to educate practitioners about local, state and national real estate practices that affect them, their clients and customers. The designation indicates to the public that the individual has obtained a professional educational foundation on which to base the services they provide. Only members of the Realtor organization may earn a GRI designation. In addition to being active in his real estate profession, Walker is an involved citizen of the local community. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fayette County; he co-chaired the Noel November fund-raising drive; will serve as the 2003 president-elect for the local chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors; and is a member of Christ's Church at Whitewater.
