Stewart-Christy
Randall and Willa Stewart of Fayetteville announce the marriage of their daughter, Mariah, to Kyle Christy, son of Joy Christy of Gaithersburg, Md.
The sunset beach ceremony was Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Beachview Club on Jekyll Island.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a white Jim Hjelm Visions gown. She carried a bouquet of red and orange calla lilies and orchids, which she also wore in her hair.
The groom wore a light gray Hugo Boss suit with an open-collar white dress shirt. The couple’s bullmastiff served as best man.
Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held on the lawn of the Beachview Club.
On Friday prior to the wedding, the bride and groom hosted an informal poolside reception for family and friends.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Ralph Curry and Nadine Curry of Jacksonville, Ala., and the late John Stewart of Jacksonville, Ala., and Trudy Stewart, now a resident of Fayetteville. She is currently employed in advertising.
The groom is the grandson of Joan Christy of Virginia Beach, Va. He currently is employed as a photographer with Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta.
Following a honeymoon in Paris, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
Kelly-Sung
Mr. and Mrs. Jason Keene of Sharpsburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Janelle Kelly, to Victor Sung, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ming Sung of Houston, Texas.
The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Lovejoy High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with concentration in neuroscience from Vanderbilt University in May, 2002. She currently is doing research in neurology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and will attend medical school in the fall of 2003.
The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Vanderbilt University where he received his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. He currently is a second year medical student at the University of Texas Southwestern.
The wedding will be March 8, 2003. After a honeymoon in London, the couple will reside in Irving, Texas.
