Sen. Seabaugh: TDK extension should be high PTC priority By JOHN MUNFORD
State Sen. Mitch Seabaugh wants to talk about commitment with the Peachtree City City Council. Seabaugh will meet with the council at its regular meeting Thursday night to discuss transportation funding priorities. In a letter to Mayor Steve Brown, Seabaugh said the upcoming change state government may create "a great opportunity for us to capitalize on transportation funding." "No transportation improvement projects are possible if they are not a priority of the Council and for this reason I wish to try to gain better understanding of the Council's transportation priorities and their commitments to contribute to the projects," Seabaugh said. Seabaugh indicates he supports the extension of TDK Boulevard into Coweta County to serve as a southern entryway to Peachtree City. Brown originally opposed the project, but reversed course and said he would support it as long as the widening of Ga. Highway 54 was accomplished first.
