South Fulton Medical Center hosts women's seminar Free food and screenings, talk one-on-one with a physicianSouth Fulton Medical Center is hosting "For Women by Women: Women's Cancers, signs and symptoms" Tuesday, Jan. 28, 6-8 p.m. in the SFMC Auditorium at 1170 Cleveland Avenue in East Point. The program, a "Let's Do Health" session, is free and open to the public. "Let's Do Health" sessions include an opportunity to talk one-on-one with a specialized doctor, a question and answer session, free giveaways and light appetizers. This session will feature board-certified gynecologist Natalie Hoshaw, M.D., who will talk about the signs and symptoms of gynecological cancers. "We are pleased to offer this outreach program as a way to educate the Atlanta community on health concerns that effect all of us," said SFMC Marketing Director Sarah Womack. South Fulton Medical Center, a 392-bed acute care hospital was acquired by a subsidiary of the Tenet Healthcare Corporation in April of this year, when it joined four other hospitals that comprise Tenet's greater Atlanta network. In addition to emergency care, the hospital offers cardiac care, physical and occupational rehabilitation, inpatient oncology, ambulatory surgery and labor and delivery. The hospital also has a level two neonatal intensive care unit.
