A Peachtree City man has been charged with vehiclular homicide resulting from a crash that led to the death of a Tyrone woman almost a month after the collision.

David Rogers, 40, was originally charged with failure to yield after stopping at a stop sign after the Nov. 23 accident. But the driver of the other vehicle, Mary Prince, 61, of Tyrone died Dec. 11 as a result of injuries sustained from the accident, according to police.

Rogers was booked at the Fayette County Jail Wednesday on the new charge and later released on bond, police said.

Police said when the crash occurred, Rogers' vehicle pulled into the path of Prince's vehicle as she was traveling south on Ga. Highway 74 near Ardenlee.

Rogers was treated for her injuries at Atlanta Medical Center.
