Memory Walk raises over $133,000It was wrap-up time recently for organizers of the annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk. Floy Farr presented an additional final check for $31,500 to Jan Bequeath, president of the Georgia chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. That raised the total donations from the 2002 Southern Crescent Memory Walk to $133,831 a $16,000 increase from last year. More than $750,000 has been raised this year by 14 Memory Walks in Georgia. The top three Southern Crescent teams were Peachtree National Bank, Governors Glen "Go Getters," and World Airways "Flyers." The top three sponsors were Coweta Fayette Trust, Talbot State Bank, and the Rotary Club of Peachtree City. Frederick Brown, Jr., was the top individual donor. The top three in-kind donations were from Print Graphics Services, Gold's Gym, and the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City. Preparation are already underway for next year.
