PTC workers get extra half day off for Christmas Eve By JOHN MUNFORD jmunford@TheCitizenNews.com Peachtree City employees got an early Christmas gift from the City Council at its meeting last week. The council voted unanimously to give city workers all day Christmas Eve off. Traditionally, the city has had workers on duty for half a day on Christmas Eve; but since the holiday falls on a Tuesday this year and is not connected to the weekend council decided to give employees a little more time off. Council discussed the matter briefly after having brought up the idea at is Nov. 14 meeting. As a result of the decision, all city offices will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 24-25.
