Red Cross provides unique holiday giving idea Donation in someone's name will help save livesIf you are wondering what to get your co-workers and friends for the holidays, the Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross has a suggestion. According to Salisha Evans, director of the program, a financial donation in the name of a friend or loved one will not only warm the heart but will help Red Cross continue to save lives in the community. Here's how it works: Upon receipt of your order, Red Cross will send an elegant holiday card to each honoree announcing that a financial gift has been made in their name. The dollar amount of your gift will not be disclosed. If your gift is $25 or more, the Red Cross will enclose a complimentary copy of "First Aid Fast," a quick reference for responding to life-threatening emergencies, along with a festive holiday card to your honoree. Or if preferred, Red Cross will send the holiday card to your honoree and the "First Air Fast" booklet to you. "The Holiday Giving program offers a great way to honor everyone on your holiday list with a meaningful gift and support the lifesaving programs of the Red Cross at the same time," emphasized Evans. For more information or to place an order, contact Evans at sevans@arcatl.org or 404-575-3176. Order forms are available on the web site at www.redcrossatlanta.org or at the South Metro Red Cross Center, 1115 Mt. Zion Rd, Suite H, Morrow. Those forms may either be faxed to 404-575-3181 or sent to Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross, Financial Development - Holiday Gift Program, 1955 Monroe Dr. NE, Atlanta, GA 30324.
