Women's Council of Realtors donates $3,000 to All Children's Playground

The Fayette County chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors recently donated a $3,000 check to the All Children's Playground committee to help fund the third and final phase of totally-accessible playground equipment.

"This is big money," said volunteer campaign coordinator Colleen Sugar. "It will make a major dent in our effort to complete phase three."

The playground, located at Picnic Park behind City Hall in Peachtree City, is designed so children of all abilities can use the equipment. The first two phases, which are already open to the public, cost $100,000, all of which was raised with contributions.

The third phase could cost up to $100,000, although it may be scaled back to accommodate for site limitations.

For the third phase, individuals may choose to sponsor certain pieces of equipment, and they will be recognized with an engraved plate on the equipment.

For more information on sponsorships and contributions, call the city's Recreation Department at 770-631-2542.
