Wednesday, November 13, 2002 Rose Court Place underway Ground has been broken on Rose Court Place, Starcraft Communities' 47-townhome community near the Jonesboro Road exit of I-75 in McDonough. An architecturally-controlled community, Rose Court Place will offer two- and three-bedroom homes and four different floor plans. The community is located on Bridges Road, which runs off McDonough Parkway. The homes, described as providing "worry free living," are priced from $107,900. Monthly payments begin at $779, and homebuyers can qualify for down payments as low as $500. Purchasers receive a free refrigerator, washer/dryer, mini-blind package and security system (with one year of service). Jim Adair, the managing partner of award-winning Starcraft Communities, has been involved in home building in the Atlanta area since 1986. Prior to that, he was a senior executive for national volume builders in Texas and California. His business associate in Starcraft Communities is Mike Massa, whose career also began in Texas and who later worked with large home building companies in the Atlanta area. Adair and Massa worked together in the Atlanta home building industry for several years before deciding to start Starcraft Communities. The company is also currently building Cypress Pointe, a community in Union City. Another Starcraft community, Walnut Creek in South DeKalb County, recently reached the "sold out" stage.
