Wednesday, November 13, 2002 New SouthGate builder busy Majestic Residential LLC has joined Don Henry Custom Homes as one of the preferred builders in SouthGate at Eagle's Landing, located within Killearn Properties' planned community in Henry County. Sharon Patterson, broker for the Eagle's Landing Sales Center, which is marketing the neighborhood, said that Majestic Residential has a model home underway and that the company is already building several spec homes and has some presales. SouthGate, which will have four phases, opened just under one year ago, and sales continue to be strong. The neighborhood, which has proved to be popular with "move up" homebuyers, will ultimately have 136 homes with prices from $317,000 to $400,000. SouthGate is a gated community, and the second gated entrance is nearly finished. Work is underway on the neighborhood's own amenities package, consisting of a swimming pool and cabana area, plus a tot lot. The neighborhood, which has underground utilities, sidewalks and streetlights, is served by Eagle's Landing Middle and High Schools and will be in the district for the new elementary school being constructed on Peach Road in McDonough. Eagle's Landing is located at the intersection of I-75 and Eagle's Landing Parkway (Exit 224). One of the largest and most successful private country club developments in the Metro Atlanta area, the community brings a distinctive blend of championship golf, master planned amenities, elegant homes, and supporting commercial, industrial and professional facilities to a location just one minute off an interstate highway. The community has a variety of home sizes and styles, with prices from $120,000 to over $1 million.
