Wednesday, November 13, 2002 Transplant House completed Construction has been completed on the 2002 Transplant House, located in Brayson Homes' Meadow Grove community in Lawrenceville. It is the second Transplant House built in Meadow Grove. This is the 6th year that Brayson Homes has constructed and sold a Transplant House, which is built each year with the understanding that when it is sold, 100 percent of the profits will go to the Georgia Transplant Foundation. The profits from Transplant House sales are much larger than are usually received from the sale of a home, since many of Brayson Homes' contractors, suppliers, and others donate labor and materials for the yearly project. The total donated since 1996 now stands at over $613,000. The Transplant House project has a twofold purpose: to bring in needed funding for GTF and to encourage more people to sign up to donate organs. GTF's goal is to provide financial assistance, a return-to-work program and other support to transplant patients and their families when these benefits are not available through private, insurance and government sources. Meadow Grove is an 108-home residential community located on Five Forks/Truckum Road near Sugarloaf Parkway. Only 12 homes, priced from the $180,000s to the low $200,000s, are still available for purchase. Gwinnett-based Brayson Homes, which was founded in 1977, has produced over 6,500 new homes. The company is active in Gwinnett, DeKalb, Cobb, South Fulton, Clayton, Coweta, Newton, and Paulding County markets and will soon be building in Henry and Douglas counties. Brayson Homes is one of only a few of the 13,000 builders in the more than 20-year history of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Program to receive the prestigious Diamond Builder award for quality construction and customer service. The company has earned awards in the prestigious Professionalism Competition sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Sales & Marketing Council.
