Wednesday, November 13, 2002 NWA picks Metro/GMAC for relocation
Metro Brokers/GMAC Real Estate has been chosen as the primary broker for employees of Northwest Airlines who are being transferred as part of the airline's closing of its Atlanta maintenance facility. Northwest announced Oct. 15 that it would be closing the maintenance facility it has operated at Hartsfield International Airport since the company acquired Republic Airlines in 1986. Northwest's local employees at this facility can transfer to the airline's Minneapolis maintenance base, move to other jobs within Northwest or take severance of up to 26 weeks pay. As a result of this closing, Burnet Relocation of Minneapolis, where Northwest Airlines is based, selected Metro Brokers for the group move of those Northwest employees being transferred. "Our relocation team takes pride in the level of service we offer transferees during this transition period in their lives," said Dana Eskridge, relocation director. "And we will make the whole moving process as smooth and convenient as possible for Northwest employees." Metro Brokers' relocation department was recently named number one in the GMAC network of 600 brokers nationwide. The relocation department is tops in both outbound and inbound referrals. Metro Brokers is a full-service real estate company with 19 offices in the metropolitan Atlanta area. The company also provides financial, insurance, and closing services, as well as commercial real estate brokerage and corporate new homes marketing. The company sold more than $1.85 billion in real estate in 2001, making it one of the 40 largest residential real estate companies in the country.
