Plane lands with a skid at Falcon Field By JOHN MUNFORD
A potentially deadly situation at Falcon Field in Peachtree City Thursday afternoon ended safely for everyone involved. A two-engine plane carrying four people touched down about 1:35 p.m. without its landing gear, which apparently was not functioning properly. After sliding for several hundred feet on the runway, it came to a stop and all aboard were able to exit without any injuries. The plane did not catch fire. Identification of the occupants of the plane was not available at press time. After the pilot notified airport personnel of the problem, fire and police responded and secured the area.
