Coweta County's voters will select two new County Commissioners in Tuesday's election.

Republican candidate Larry DeMoss faces Democrat Willie Pritchett in the Commission Post Race 3. DeMoss defeated incumbent Lawrence Nelms in the August primary.

In the other commission race, Greg Tarbutton faces Democratic challenger John Houston for the Post 2 position. The winner of the race replaces Commission Chairman Jim McGuffey, who decided not to seek reelection this year.

A small section of Coweta voters near the city of Newnan will also be represented by a new Congressman in January. Voters will choose between Democrat Roger Kahn and Republican Phil Gingrey for the newly created 11th Congressional District.

The rest of the county's voters will choose between incumbent Republican Mac Collins and Democrat Angelos Petrakopoulous for the Eighth Congressional District seat.

Polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
