Dobson to speak at school banquet PACE Christian School is hosting a fund-raising banquet Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Westin Atlanta Airport. The featured speaker is Ryan Dobson, son of Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family. For four years Ryan served with the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., as the manager of youth programs. He was a spokesman for youth on many issues, including abstinence, drug abuse, and interpersonal relationships. This role brought him before senators and statesmen, advising and challenging them on the issues youth currently face. He has also been involved in debates with the American Civil Liberties Union. Ryan worked with the National Institute of Youth Ministry and worked with young people on a daily basis, challenging them to translate their faith into practice. He has been involved in ministry on a local level as well as providing leadership to students in his own church as a youth Bible study leader.
