Collins endorses Cox Mac Collins, who represents Georgia's Third District in the U.S. House of Representatives, has endorsed state Rep. Kathy Cox in her race to become Georgia's next state school superintendent. "I have known Kathy Cox for several years now as one of my constituents, and I have met with her students at McIntosh High School," said Collins. "I have seen Kathy in the classroom, and I have witnessed her passion for education that I believe will make her an excellent state school superintendent." As a state legislator, Cox has "fought for teachers and students as a member of the Education Committee," said Collins. "She has the experience, leadership, and vision to lead Georgia's schools to the top, and the people of Georgia will be well-served with Kathy Cox as their next state school superintendent." "I am honored to have the support of Rep. Collins," said Cox. "I first voted for Mac in 1992, and he has served the 3rd District with distinction for 10 years. He is a respected and valued leader in our community, and he understands the importance of providing quality educational opportunities for our children."
