Just like Mama used to make

Fall signifies another change of seasons, and is traditionally the time when new artist groups unveil their treasures for the year.

In many cities, fall also signifies when new restaurants open their doors to draw in customers who stay at home during the warmer summer months.

Foodies in Fayette can rejoice because we have a hot new restaurant that has burst onto the scene this season and should soon be having people lined up outside the door to sample their wares.

Augustino's at 282 Ga. Highway 74 north in Peachtree City is serving some of the best Italian food in the region.

The restaurant is owned by two brothers who are preparing Italian food in the tradition of an afternoon in Little Italy in New York.

Each day, the restaurant offers a different all you can eat buffet for lunch. Feel like chicken picatta? Head there Wednesday. What about fettucini carbonara? That's a Friday special.

If you feel like having a special evening, head there for dinner. The black and white decorating scheme, along with an abundance of wood accents provides a glamorous atmosphere for fine dining.

Dinner choices range from gourmet pizzas to herb crusted salmon and chicken or veal Marsala.

With Augustino's joining Valentino's, Peachtree City is now home to two of the best Italian restaurants this side of La Grotta in Atlanta.
