Flood funds flowing in Flood victims in Atlanta, East Point, College Park, and unincorporated South Fulton County started receiving emergency funds from the Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA) last week. Applicants must first have a referral from the American Red Cross Service Center at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 571 Spencer Street, S.W., Atlanta. They can also call the Red Cross Hotline at 1-866-RCHELPS. The fund disbursement center will be at the Atlanta Police Department's Vine City Mini-Precinct, 612 Magnolia Street, NW, Atlanta. The Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The state of Georgia is also releasing funds to reimburse Fulton County, the cities of Atlanta, College Park, East Point, and other jurisdictions for some of the cost of flood cleanup.
