Backyard Association discusses accents at next week's monthly meeting As charming as southern accents can be, the Backyard Association meeting will take a look at accents of a different kind this month. Anna Thompson, owner of "The Potting Shed" in Newnan, has created a garden legacy using wonderful and whimsical garden accents. Thompson will share some of her newest and most delightful innovations from her shop and in her garden. And yes, she will do it with her charming southern accent. The Backyard Association, sponsored by Coweta County Extension Service, is open to the public and meets at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday evening of each month except December. Their next meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 8. Reservations are required and admission is free. The sessions are held at the Coweta County Extension Service, 21 East Washington Street in Newnan.
