Help needed for PTC oral history program

Peachtree City residents are being invited to help conduct an oral history program on the city's unique background.

The oral history project is being conducted by the Peachtree City Historic Preservation Society. Volunteers are needed to help interview and transcribe taped interviews for the project.

The group is now focusing on interviewing Peachtree City's mayors. The first interview, with city "founder" Joel Cowan, has already been completed.

The society, which is in the formation stage, also plans to interview ministers who were here when the city was originally chartered.
