Westpark evacuated for morning gas leak By JOHN MUNFORD jmunford@TheCitizenNews.com Businesses at the Westpark Walk shopping center were evacuated as a precautionary measure while emergency officials investigated a natural gas leak in the area Wednesday morning. The gas service to two of the units at Westpark Walk was shut off by Atlanta Gas Light and once the building was aired out people were allowed to return to the businesses, said Peachtree City Assistant Fire Chief Ed Eiswerth. No injuries were reported. The city fire marshall is working with Atlanta Gas Light to investigate the source of the leak, Eiswerth said.
