Community's Help Needed to Address Fayette's Educational Concerns and Priorities

In an effort to help ensure that Fayette County's school system remains one of the best in the state, the community and school system employees are being invited to complete an on-line survey to help identify strengths, areas for improvement and set education priorities for the next five years.

The results of the survey will be used by the school system to update its current strategic plan as well as assist with its yearly comprehensive report.

Beginning October 1-15, community members, business leaders, teachers, parents and school administrators will be able to access the survey by logging onto the Fayette County School System's web site at www.fcboe.org. The survey is simple and straightforward and asks questions relating from curriculum and instruction to prioritizing a list of educational concerns for the next five years.

The bulk of the survey is in multiple choice format with an opportunity at the end to express comments and suggestions not covered in the body of the survey but that the participant feels should be addressed by the school system in its strategic plan. Participants can complete and submit their responses electronically.

To review the current copy of the school system's strategic plan, log onto the web site and click on "county office information." The updated strategic plan will be available on-line after it is completed later this year.
