Fayetteville police have arrested two Riverdale men for the December armed robbery of the Sally Beauty Supply store at the Banks Crossing Shopping Center.

Deontae Trimble, 19, and Lorian E. McCaslin, 19, are both charged with one felony count of being a party to the crime of armed robbery.

According to arrest warrants, Trimble and McCaslin both plan and carry out the armed robbery. McCaslin opened the rear door to facilitate the crime while Trimble allowed his vehicle to be used as the getaway car, the warrants stated.

Both men also received some of the cash from the Dec. 4 robbery, according to the warrants.

According to the original police reports, one of the store employees was confronted by an assailant after she took trash to a nearby dumpster. Both employees were shocked by a stun gun during the robbery.

Fayetteville Police Maj. Steve Ledbetter attributed the arrests to "good investigative work" from Debbie Chambers, the detective who worked the case.

"They got some good information from the get-go and were able to follow that information until they could make an arrest," Ledbetter said.

Although no further arrests in connection to the case are imminent, that could change at any time, Ledbetter noted.
