PTC honors outgoing city attorney for service, committment to job By JOHN
MUNFORD
Peachtree City's outgoing City Attorney Rick Lindsey was honored during last week's council meeting as Sept. 20 was proclaimed "Richard P. Lindsay Day". Councilman Dan Tennant read the proclamation on behalf of Mayor Steve Brown for Lindsey's "outstanding service". Tennant noted that in his 11 years of service to the city, staff have found Lindsey to be dependable and fair. "You've always been there for us, and you've always given us great advice," said Administrative Services Director Jane Miller. "I am truly blown away," Lindsey said of the honor, while thanking his secretary, Jeanne Fox, co-worker Michelle Bradley, law partner Jim Webb and his family along with city staff. Lindsey was joined up front by his wife, Cindy, and their children, Brandon, 11, and Lauren, 6. Lindsey said he enjoyed serving as city attorney, even though there were times he was summoned for work issues during vacation. He specifically recalled one occasion when he responded to "whatever the crisis of the day was" while with his family at Disney World via his cellular phone.
