New school dedication ceremonies

Fayette's newest elementary schools, Cleveland and Sara Harp Minter, will hold formal ceremonies to dedicate the two schools to the community later this month and in October.

Cleveland will host its ceremony Sept. 29 from 2-4 p.m. The community is invited to attend the celebration, meet the staff and teachers of the school as well as tour the new facility. The school is located at 190 Lester Road in Fayetteville.

Sara Harp Minter will celebrate its dedication Oct. 13 from 2-4 p.m. Jim Minter and Superintendent John DeCotis will be the guest speakers. There will also be a presentation from the Minter family of a portrait of Sara Harp Minter that will be placed in the school's reception area.

The community is invited to attend the ceremony as well as students, peer teachers and past administrators who worked with or knew Sara Harp Minter. The school is located at 1650 Ga. Highway 85 South.
