Three physicians join Georgia Cancer Specialists With the addition of three new physicians, Georgia Cancer Specialists continues to grow and expand its services as the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast. Joining the practice are Kristina Bowen, MD, who will practice in the Alpharetta and Northside clinics; Shyam Khanwani, MD, who will practice in the Fayetteville clinic; and Lynn Zemsky, MD, who will practice in the Cobb clinic. Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) now has 33 physicians practicing in 20 clinics located in greater metro Atlanta and Macon. Shyam Khanwani, MD, joins GCS after completing his fellowship at University of Maryland, Greenebaum Cancer Center, in Baltimore, MD. He graduated with a medical degree from Liaquat Medical College, University of Sindh in Jamshoro, Pakistan and completed his residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Elmhurst Hospital Center, in Elmhurst, NY. Kristina Bowen, MD, joins GCS after completing her fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, and Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. She graduated with a medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC and completed her residency at Duke University School of Medicine. Lynn Zemsky, MD, joins GCS after completing her fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein Cancer Center in Bronx, NY. She graduated with a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Georgia Cancer Specialists is the largest private oncology/hematology practice in the Southeast and a national leader in advanced cancer treatment and research.
